Job description

We are looking for a Web Administrator to maintain and optimise the Authority's online services and websites to ensure they are customer-focussed, accessible and secure. In this role, you will be contributing to the development of high quality and engaging content to deliver information and encourage use of our products and services. You will contribute to the delivery of our corporate communications to inspire people to help care for the National Park's special qualities.

We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, innovative and driven to develop high quality and customer-focussed digital content. You will bring your experience of administering security, accessibility and performance on websites and online services. You will have strong knowledge of SEO, accessibility and web analytics to optimise engaging online content.

The Peak District National Park was the first of Britain's 15 national parks and is still enjoyed by millions, looking for both adventure and a breathing space to escape. It is also the most accessible due its proximity to four major cities of the UK and its 38,000 residents. We recognise the importance of our national park and our job is to speak up and care for the Peak District National Park for all to enjoy forever.

We operate a hybrid working model and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. The usual work pattern for the team is 2 days in the office and 3 days at home, depending on priorities and meetings, but you've also got the ability to work all hours in the office. We offer a range of staff benefits including flexi-time, which enables you to accrue flexi credit and take up to two days' flexi leave per month, and vary start and finish times, helping you to juggle your work and life commitments. There is a high-quality defined benefit pension scheme, 26-31 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays and the option to purchase more, volunteering leave and free parking at the office where this post is based. This post is open to job share.

Our Values
  • Care - We care for the Peak District National Park, the people we work with and all those we serve. It's at the heart of everything we do.
  • Enjoy - We take pride in what we do and feel good about our contribution.
  • Pioneer - We were born of pioneers. We will continue to explore opportunities to inspire future generations.
