Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting for a permanent Multi-Trade Engineer to deliver day-to-day repairs and maintenance in tenants' homes across Watford and the surrounding area. The role requires a strong primary trade and experience across several other trades, with a 40-hour working week.

Salary is £42,206 per year, with a company van, fuel card, 28 days' annual leave and employer pension contribution up to 11%. Development and progression opportunities are also available.

Qualifications

• A recognised primary trade with strong experience in a second trade and working knowledge of at least two additional trades.
• Experience in plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, bricklaying, painting and decorating, or groundworks/fencing.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good customer service and a professional approach when working in occupied homes.

Responsibilities

• Completing day-to-day repairs in tenants' homes across Watford and surrounding area.
• Fault finding and diagnosing repair requirements.
• Identify cost-effective repair solutions while minimising customer inconvenience.
• Work with Planning Team to organise jobs and maximise working time.
• Use PDA to receive, update and record work.
• Attend scheduled appointments and complete work safely and to a high standard.
