Job summary

CHG Electrical is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our MEICA delivery team, supporting water and wastewater projects across the UK. You will install, calibrate, test and fault-find instrumentation to ensure accurate readings and reliable performance.

You'll work with flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity analysers and telemetry, collaborating with EICA Engineers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Proven instrumentation experience in water, wastewater or process environments.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, Controls or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, WIMES-compliant instrumentation and telemetry systems.
• Experience with flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity and chlorine analysers or similar instrumentation.
• Good knowledge of calibration techniques, fault-finding and loop testing.
• Excellent practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work independently or within multi-skilled teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, calibrate and maintain instrumentation across clean and wastewater assets.
• Work with flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity and chlorine analysers and associated equipment.
• Complete loop checks, functional testing, inspections and verification activities.
