Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Technician to operate and maintain a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment and water recycling facility. You will monitor plant equipment, take samples, and work with contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Applicants should have experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities or process operations, plus a HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Operations or Process Technology, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities, process operations or wastewater treatment.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Operations or Process Technology.
• Good practical problem-solving and computer skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Check and operate the plant's equipment and computer control systems.
• Take water samples and carry out routine tests.
• Identify problems and respond to alarms.
• Complete basic maintenance and equipment checks.
• Work with contractors on repairs and improvements.
• Keep accurate records and follow safety and environmental procedures.
