Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Technician to operate a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment and water recycling facility. You will help treat water on site so it can be safely discharged or recycled, with responsibilities spanning equipment operation, sampling and monitoring.

Ideal candidates will have experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities or process operations, a relevant HNC/HND or equivalent, strong problem-solving and computer skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities, process operations or wastewater treatment.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Operations or Process Technology.
• Good practical problem-solving and computer skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Check and operate the plant's equipment and computer control systems.
• Take water samples and carry out routine tests.
• Identify problems and respond to alarms.
• Complete basic maintenance and equipment checks.
• Work with contractors on repairs and improvements.
• Keep accurate records and follow safety and environmental procedures.
