Job summary
SES Water is seeking a Water Process Operative to help deliver safe, high-quality drinking water across our network. You will operate and monitor treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs, performing site inspections and responding to alarms as part of a hands-on, collaborative team.
In this role you will take water samples, record compliance results and work with colleagues and contractors to maintain performance.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required.
- Experience in a similar operational or industrial environment.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to work and participation in shift and standby rotas.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment processes.
- Take water samples and record compliance results.
- Monitor site performance using SCADA systems.
- Respond to alarms, faults and operational issues.
- Carry out site safety, security and housekeeping checks.
- Work with colleagues and contractors to maintain operational performance.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Participate in a standby and shift rota to maintain customer water supplies.
