Job description

Our established client is a well-known water treatment company, who provide expert water treatment duties to national clients. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced, skilled and committed Water Treatment Service Chemist/Sales Manager based in and around the Manchester area. The right candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience working within the water treatment sector with experience carrying out sampling, analysis and dosing of cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems. The successful candidate will also hold a proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of new and existing industrial water treatment clients. Applications from Oldham, Liverpool, Warrington, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

• Experience of working in a service chemist role, under-taking the analysis of system boilers, closed systems and cooling tower water.
• Will hold a proven track record of managing a portfolio of water treatment clients.
• Hands on experience selling water treatment services to new and existing clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft office package.
• Ideally have technical, sales, accounts, consultancy, management, or business development background.

Responsibilities within the Role:

• Carrying out chemical analysis on Cooling towers, Steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems.
• Increasing customer base by maximising sales opportunities even further.
• Carry out routine monitoring tasks at various properties as per client requirements.
• Providing the full range of Service Chemist duties on an array of systems across a variety of sectors.
• Update Site Log Books with accuracy.
• Hitting targets and achieving goals.
• Build a strong professional rapport with new and existing clients.
