Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Plant Operator to support a wastewater treatment project in Oswestry on the United Utilities framework. You will monitor and maintain the new plant, ensuring safe, efficient operation and accurate record-keeping.

The role involves liaising with the Advance Plus process team, clients and suppliers, and supporting commissioning activities on site. CSCS and sector experience are essential for delivery on construction projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a skilled plant operator in water sector environments.
• Experience monitoring plant performance and recording process data.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant processes and operating performance daily.
• Record and review process parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent, sludge thickener).
• Oversee plant equipment such as oxidisation ditch inducers, blowers and dosing systems.
• Recalibrate instruments and order reagents as required.
• Support commissioning and operation activities with the Advance Plus team.
