Job summary

Future Select Ltd invites applications for a Water Treatment Operations Manager based in Oldham, Greater Manchester. You will oversee Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, Legionella and Plumbing services for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring quality, deadlines and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on leadership on site and in the office, with travel as needed. A pro-active, well‑organized manager who communicates clearly will thrive in this position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Water Treatment Operations Manager.
• Ideally holds industry-related qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessing, NVQ Plumbing, G3 Unvented).
• Fully conversant in ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines.
• Confident in leading teams on site and within the office.
• Flexible to travel in line with company needs.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proficient in using IT software.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful completion of Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, Legionella and Plumbing services.
• Lead teams to effectively plan projects and allocate workloads to engineers.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues.
• Troubleshoot issues on site, ensuring a smooth outcome.
• Conduct quality assurance and competency checks to ensure compliance.
• Train and support engineers on a daily basis.
• Handle any complaints from clients.
• Support the continued growth of the company portfolio, identify gaps in the market, upsell and follow up on warm leads.
• Ensure projects run in accordance with set budgets and deadlines.
• Attend sites to conduct initial risk assessments prior to works starting.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Investigate and resolve accident/incident incidents.
• Complete relevant project documents.
