Job summary

Marlowe (a Part of Mitie) is seeking a Water Technician - Level 1 to operate, maintain and monitor water treatments for customers in the UK. You will ensure water quality meets regulatory standards and perform activities across TMV servicing, tank cleaning, sampling and routine documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong basic water treatment knowledge and ability to apply analytical, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, good literacy, and strong client-service skills.
• Excellent time management and administration abilities, including confidence using phone or tablet apps in line with our systems.
• Demonstrates excellent time-keeping, cultural awareness, sound work ethics and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Holds a valid UK Driving Licence and meets compliant DBS and customer-specific security check requirements.

Responsibilities

• TMV valve servicing both failsafe and strip down.
• Cleaning of the cooling towers and tanks (2nd person).
• Tank inspections.
• Temperature monitoring and accurate recording of results.
• Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory.
• Descaling and cleaning of showers and shower heads.
• Flushing of little-used outlets.
• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
• Carry out tasks allocated to you in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.
• Must not exceed one audit failure per year.

• TMV valve servicing both failsafe and strip down
