Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Water Technician Level 1 in Birmingham to operate, maintain and monitor water treatments for customers. You will ensure water safety and regulatory compliance, supporting key business functions by following method statements and safety rules.

The role requires completing tasks within schedules, accurate documentation, and adherence to audit standards. A full‑time, on‑site position with DBS check and references will apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a level 1 technician capable of completing assigned tasks.
• TMV valve servicing (failsafe and full strip-down) required.
• Sampling of domestic systems and accurate lab submission expected.
• Excellent time-keeping, sound work ethics and cultural awareness are essential.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
• Must not exceed more than 2 audit failures per year.
• Cleaning of cooling towers and tanks (2nd man), tank inspections, and flushing of little-used outlets.
• Temperature monitoring, sampling of domestic systems, and descaling/ cleaning of showers and shower heads.

Water Technician Level 1

HOURS: 40 hours per week
SALARY : 28000 Pounds to 32000 Pounds (Based on Experience and Qualifications)
LOCATION: Birmingham

This role ensures that water is safe and meets regulatory standards. The position will support the key functions of the business by providing services as and when required, and by carrying out tasks allocated in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.

• Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory.
• Excellent time‑keeping, demonstrate sound work ethics, and be respectful with cultural awareness.
• Valid UK driving licence.
