Job summary

HomeServe UK is seeking a Water Supply Pipe Engineer to repair and maintain water supply systems in customers’ homes. The role is based in Hemel Hempstead and involves a 40-hour work week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You will carry out diagnostics, repairs and installations, and represent the company with professionalism. You’ll receive a competitive salary (£37,220 - £41,810) with a £1,500 guaranteed bonus in year one, paid overtime opportunities, a pension with income

• Location: Hemel Hempstead
• Salary: £37,220 - £41,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work in customer’s homes carrying out repairs and maintenance on water supply systems.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
• Laying and replacing pipework
• Excavation and reinstatement work where required
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
• Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
• A positive, proactive approach to your work

Training & Support

We’ll set you up for success from day one with a structured onboarding programme:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced HomeServe WSP Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
