A leading construction firm in Leeds is looking for a Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of Yorkshire Water Lead Renewal Contracts. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while managing site costs and liaising with clients. Requirements include NRSWA certification, water safety passports, supervisory training, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

  • Must have NRSWA Supervisors certification.
  • Possess water safety passports.
  • Complete supervisory management training.
  • Hold IOSH or SMSTS certifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in water sector.
  • Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations on site related to Yorkshire Water Lead Renewal Contracts.
  • Ensure health & safety standards are met.
  • Oversee quality of workmanship and ensure continuity of processes.
  • Assist in cost control for manpower, materials, and equipment.

Purpose

To be responsible for the day-to-day Supervision of numerous Yorkshire Water Lead Renewal Contracts.

The individual will have responsibility for site supervision, ensuring the clients requirements are met whilst working in line with the company health & safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Management of construction activities
  • Safety. Ensuring site standards maintained, assisting risk assessment, accident investigation, site instructions and inspections.
  • Production. Working to programme.
  • Quality. Ensuring standards of workmanship maintained. Ensure completion of quality records, continuity of process-capability
  • Problem solving / trouble shooting
Control of Costs
  • Manpower
  • Materials
  • Plant and vehicles
  • Damages and thefts
Liaison with Health & Safety Manager
  • Working together to improve standards through joint site inspections and reviews of site monitoring results
  • Dealing with improvement notices
  • Liaison with Water Operatives
  • Working together to ensure safety, quality and environmental standard are achieved
  • Dealing with actions from technical audits
  • Development / maintenance of competency levels
Liaison with Planning Manager
