Job summary

Kier Group plc in Tolgus, Redruth is seeking an Operative to join the South West Water team. This full-time role involves 45 hours per week on a shift rota, with additional on-call duties to support water services.

You will work on mains repairs, new connections, and metering, upholding health and safety standards and promoting an inclusive workplace. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways or utilities.
• Full driving licence held.
• CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene, or NRSWA certification; training available.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality results.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking planned or reactive work as directed from water services to large diameter mains
• Ensuring levels of productivity working within timescales and to targets
• Updating all relevant documentation on each job using a tablet
• Being part of a rapid response team that works around the clock to deliver and restore clean water
• Promoting wellbeing and ensuring an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouraged
