Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Operative to join the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Greendale, Exeter. The role focuses on reinstating highways and surfaces following excavation works for water mains repairs and other utilities projects in the South West Water contract.

You will work within a collaborative team, carrying out reinstatement tasks, operating equipment, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway reinstatement or utilities work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality results.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality reinstatement works including tarmac, concrete, and modular paving after excavation.
• Ensure reinstatement meets HAUC and local authority specifications.
• Operate plant and machinery safely, such as rollers and compactors.
• Complete job documentation using tablet-based systems.
• Maintain site safety and traffic management compliance.
