Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Water Services Engineer in Birmingham to deliver water hygiene compliance, remedial plumbing works, and site services across client sites.

The role requires experience in Legionella monitoring and plumbing remedial tasks, with a full UK driving licence and solid IT skills. You will work within a safety-focused team, ensuring regulatory standards are met and documentation is completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Treatment.
• Experience in plumbing remedial works (e.g. pipework modifications, tank installs, TMVs).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages and mobile/tablet systems.
• Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, and plumbing works.
• Carry out remedial plumbing tasks including dead leg removal, pipework insulation, water heater installation, and cold water storage tank installations.
• Maintain customer water logbooks and complete all required documentation in line with current guidelines and company policy.
• Take and record water samples across multiple property types in accordance with company procedures.
• Carry out water system cleaning and disinfection in line with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8.
• Test, service, and maintain thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and complete associated plumbing tasks.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
