Job summary

Fern Recruitment Limited is seeking a Remedial Plumber with basic water hygiene knowledge to work on commercial sites across the Midlands. The role offers a salary of up to £33,000–£37,000 plus benefits and a company vehicle.

Key duties include leak detection, TMV work, deadleg removal and ensuring compliance with HSG274 and ACOP L8. DBS enhanced is required, with opportunities to train and cross-train across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 plumbing qualification required.
• Experience on commercial sites including offices, healthcare and education.
• Willing to cover multiple sites across the North and North-East.
• Full driving license and enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Leak detection on tanks/pipes and main pipework repairs/replacements.
• Resolve maintenance plumbing issues including TMV install/replace and deadlegs.
• Investigate and resolve emergency plumbing issues to keep sites running.
• Ensure sites comply with HSG274 and ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Basic water hygiene duties including sampling, monitoring or flushing.
• Maintain site logbooks and highlight recommendations for future work.

Remedial Plumber with Water Hygiene - covering the Midlands

Up to £33000-£37000 + Benefits + Vehicle

UK based health and safety consultancy are expanding their Northern team and currently require a Remedial Plumber with basic knowledge in water hygiene to work on commercial sites in the Midlands. 90% of the work with focus on plumbing, therefore this must be your area of expertise.

Key duties for the Remedial Plumber will include:

• Working on plant/tank rooms undertaking leak detection on tanks/pipes and repairing/replacing any mains pipework.
• Resolving other maintenance focussed plumbing issues including TMV install/replace, removal of deadlegs and replacing float valves.
• Investigating and resolving any emergency plumbing issues to ensure the continued smooth running of the site.
• Ensuring all sites are compliant and in lines with HSG274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
• Basic water hygiene duties when needs - sampling, monitoring or flushing
• Maintaining site logbooks and highlighting recommendations for future work.

To apply for the Remedial Plumber role the following experience is required.

• Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (Diploma or NVQ).
• Have experience working on commercial sites including - offices, health care and education.
• Ability to cover multiple sites across the North and North-East
• Full driving license
• DBS checked (enhanced)
