Job summary

Rullion Ltd is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor with 2–5 years’ experience to join our growing team in Manchester. You will work closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers and the commercial team to maximise profitability and manage commercial risk.

The role involves preparing payment applications, tracking certificates, managing EWNs, assisting with estimates and CVRs, and coordinating subcontract documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clients and colleagues.
• Solid understanding of commercial processes and project cost management.
• Knowledge of NEC3/4 contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and track payment applications.
• Monitor certificates, invoices, and payment schedules.
• Raise EWNs and manage change requests and variations.
• Assist with project estimates and cost forecasts.
• Produce and present CVRs monthly.
• Monitor project costs, purchase orders and commercial performance.
• Review project contracts and ensure obligations are met.
• Review contract terms and conditions.
• Prepare subcontract documentation and support subcontract management.
• Understand project programmes and monitor commercial progress.
• Maintain relationships with client commercial teams.
• Support the wider commercial team with day-to-day QS activities.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the lifecycle.
