Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager in Scotland who will lead a diverse portfolio of water sector projects, coordinating planning and delivery with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes strong client relationships, risk management and governance across budgets, schedules and quality targets.

You will work from Edinburgh or Glasgow with hybrid working, and contribute to long-term growth in the water sector while mentoring junior staff and driving innovation in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have Water industry experience and previous project management and commercial management.
• Industry-recognised chartership such as CEng or similar.
• Industry-recognised project management qualification such as PMQ or similar.
• Experience of managing multiple deadlines and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of proactive risk management and mitigation in projects.
• Experience in leading and mentoring team members in project and commercial management.
• Demonstrates passion for innovation and client service to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of a diverse portfolio of water sector projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks early; address issues proactively to keep projects on track.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and resources to meet financial and operational targets.
• Provide regular reporting and present updates to internal and external audiences.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
