SOCOTEC UK & Ireland in Leeds is seeking a Workshop Technician to service, calibrate and test water quality sensors and instrumentation to support critical field operations.

The role requires practical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, plus a full UK driving license and willingness to travel occasionally. We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong practical skills and attention to detail with good problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in water quality instrumentation with calibration procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork; proactive and adaptable to deadlines.
• Confidence using IT systems; commitment to safe working practices; full UK driving license; willingness to travel including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing, testing, calibrating and maintaining water quality monitoring equipment and sensors.
• Preparing, cleaning and deploying water quality instrumentation, ensuring readiness for field use.
• Managing equipment availability through battery maintenance, stock control and asset tracking using internal IT systems.
• Supporting safe and efficient operations by following health and safety procedures and adapting to project needs.
