Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Limited is seeking a Field Crew Operative based in Leeds, working on wastewater and water projects across the UK & Ireland. You will install and maintain flow monitors, water quality instrumentation and auto-samplers in rivers and sewers.

The role requires occasional overnight stays and travel, with full training provided, no prior experience necessary. Salary starts at £27,976 per year, with progression.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to travel across the UK and occasional night shifts.

• Strong work ethic and initiative in problem solving.
• Comfort around water environments and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain monitoring equipment at client sites.
• Calibrate equipment, collect water samples and record data.
• Ensure quality assurance and accurate project documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Survey client infrastructure and assist with asset management.
