Job summary
Anglian Water is recruiting for a Sampler in Basildon and surrounding areas. You will travel between sites, prepare sampling bottles, collect water samples, and transport them to our laboratories for analysis, working independently and professionally in varying weather conditions.
The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and deliver excellent service. Weekend availability and lifting up to 25kg are included in the rota and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence required.
- Experience in following procedures, safe working systems, and risk assessments.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
- Customer-focused attitude with enthusiasm for delivering great service.
- Confidence to approach customers unannounced for water samples.
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Availability for a standby rota, including evening and weekend sampling.
- Comfortable with manual lifting up to and including 25kg.
Responsibilities
- Follow sampling program set by regulators to maintain compliance.
- Travel between sites and independently prepare, collect, and transport samples to laboratories.
- Work across various sites in all weather conditions to support analysis.
- Act professionally with customers and trade sites and uphold Health & Safety and ISO17025 procedures.
- Undergo employment checks including right to work, references and driving licence verification.
