Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Sampling Operations team as a Sampler Technician, working with your colleagues to deliver safe drinking water for our customers, communities, and the environment.
In this role, you\'ll travel across Essex collecting drinking water samples, undertaking chlorine checks, and carrying out water quality testing to help ensure our customers receive safe, clean drinking water every day. You\'ll work independently across a variety of sites, including customer properties, while playing a vital role in maintaining compliance with water quality standards.
As water is an essential service operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, you\'ll be part of a team dedicated to protecting public health and delivering excellent service to our communities.
We\'re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently work to deadlines, and brings a positive "can-do" attitude to every challenge.
To succeed in this role, you\'ll have a sound understanding of water sampling regulations and standards, including DWI Drinking Water Regulations, MCERTS, and Private Water Supply requirements. We\'re particularly interested in candidates with previous sampling experience and those who have worked in a UKAS-accredited laboratory environment. Flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills are key, as is a full valid UK manual driving licence.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment
