Job summary

South East Water is seeking a Microbiology Analyst in Farnborough to perform and guide complex microbiological analysis, focusing on faecal indicator bacteria and protozoa. You will operate modern instrumentation within the Laboratory Management System and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires NVQ3+ or equivalent, strong numeracy and laboratory skills, and a willingness to develop professional membership.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic qualification or NVQ level 3 equivalent or above.
• Excellent numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy for robust analytical practice.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation within the Laboratory Management System.
• Analyse data and maintain daily logs and equipment records.
• Prepare standards, reagents and QC samples per procedures.
• Ensure timely data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System.
