Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a qualified Cost Manager for its Developer Services team in Cardiff. You will manage commercial and cost aspects across multiple projects, advising engineers and PMs on contract strategy and risk mitigation.

The role requires experience in NEC3/framework contracts, SAP/SRM, and a strong ability to analyse payments, prepare cost estimates, and deliver timely reporting to stakeholders. Hybrid working with competitive rewards is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified to relevant degree level and working towards chartered status.
• Understanding of NEC3 forms and the DCWW framework contracts.
• Cost and contract management experience in water industry (£5k–£2m).
• Experience in SAP finance, project management and SRM modules.
• Strong numeracy and financial skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, commercial and cost management for Developer Services projects.
• Advise project managers and engineers on commercial contract management.
• Assess payment applications and prioritise overdue ones.
• Assess payments from framework contractors to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Identify, analyse and manage project risks, ensuring proper allocation.
