Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead and deliver major UK water projects. You will work across the Water division, partnering with top water clients to design and improve sourcing, treatment, and distribution of water for local communities.

You will bring Chartered status, substantial water industry experience, and a collaborative leadership style to mentor teams and drive execution. Flexible working arrangements are available to suit project needs across the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered status and membership of a relevant engineering institution preferred.
• Experience in the water industry is preferred; knowledge of Process and MEICA disciplines advantageous.
• Understanding of environmental issues including net carbon preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions from needs to detailed design within projects.
• Support and manage project team members and mentor junior engineers.
• Undertake scoping and design within required timescales and budgets.
• Produce and check technical reports and deliverables for clients.
