Job summary

AECOM’s Water team in Exeter seeks a Project Commercial Manager to drive commercial outcomes across multiple water projects, applying contract and risk management expertise to support PMs and clients. You will mentor technical staff, manage change, review subcontract documents, and oversee commercial risk, communications, and performance to boost project outcomes.

This role offers collaboration across the commercial function with finance, legal and risk, with opportunities across water

Qualifications

• Experience in consultancy or engineering projects.
• Knowledge of contract and risk management.
• Experience with project change control and delay damages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs and Lead Verifiers to ensure successful delivery.
• Apply contract and risk management knowledge to improve performance.
• Oversee contract communications, change management, and insurance topics.
• Prepare subcontract documents to ensure back-to-back positions.
• Coach staff to heighten commercial awareness.
• Support project reviews and client/supplier negotiations.
