Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is a global engineering and professional services firm delivering water asset projects across the UK. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams on water and non-regulated industrial projects, delivering from concept through handover to clients.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost and risk, develop PM documentation, and champion health and safety while mentoring team members and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery on landmark schemes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects (water sector preferred).
• Working knowledge or accreditation in NEC Contracts.
• Membership of professional institutions such as APM, PMI or MICE.
• Proficiency in use of project management tools and software.
• Demonstrate competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project proposals including determining project requirements, scope, resources, programme, and cost estimates for delivering the project
• Own the P&L with revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budgets, forecasts, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls
• Develop project management documentation including PM plans, cost estimates and forecasts, risk registers, project schedules, stakeholder registers
• Monitor and control the project schedule, manhours, budgets, forecasts, and expenditure
• Ensure effective contract management including contract administration and change management
• Manage work performed by project team members, ensuring outputs meet the project requirements
• Managing project deliverables, information, and records
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to the project team and customer
• Anticipate and address issues and potential conflict situations impacting delivery
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of technical staff and suppliers
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and captures lessons learned
