Job summary

Auger is seeking a Water Mains Engineer to cover Stoke-on-Trent. The role offers a total package of £36,412 - £40,603 without overtime, with overtime possible to enhance earnings. 42.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a focus on customer service and on-site problem solving.

Responsibilities include independently investigating and repairing external water supplies, establishing ownership, and guiding customers through works. A DBS and driving licence are preferred traits for the ideal candidate.

Qualifications

• Leak detection experience using listening tools and ground mic.
• Ability to identify buried services with CAT scanners.
• Experience laying service pipes 20mm–32mm.
• Creation of new entry points and reinstatement of surfaces.
• Valid driving licence and DBS clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and repair external water supplies.
• Logically establish ownership and liability based on leak location.
• Explain works to customers, providing reassurance.
• Coordinate with Field Operations Team at HQ.
• Collaborate with other engineers on site tasks.
