Job summary

Auger is seeking a Water Mains Engineer to join the team covering Braintree. The role offers a total package around £36,412–£40,603 with overtime potential and a 42.5-hour week, Mon-Fri. You’ll work directly from home to sites, with full PPE, vehicle, and support from our Field Operations team.

Qualifications

• Leak detection and repair using listening equipment and probes.
• Trenchless installation via moling (advantageous).
• Experience with 20mm–32mm service laying and new point of entry creation.
• Ability to identify buried services and trace metallic supplies using CAT scanner.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and repair external water supplies independently.
• Determine ownership/liability based on leak location.
• Explain works to customers to provide peace of mind.
• Coordinate with Field Operations Team at HQ.
• Collaborate with other engineers to complete tasks.
