Job summary

Trinity Claims is seeking a Drainage Technician to perform investigations, maintenance and repairs at policyholder properties. You will diagnose faults, clear blockages, carry out CCTV surveys, trace drainage systems, and perform minor excavations while upholding safety and customer care standards.

The role offers a basic salary of £33,000 to £40,000 (DOE) plus market-leading benefits such as 25 days holiday, discretionary bonus, life insurance, enhanced pension, and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
• Technical knowledge to understand water networks.
• Experience in leak detection (acoustic and tracer gas).
• Experience operating high-pressure water jetting equipment.
• Ability to undertake CCTV drainage surveys.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good IT skills for reports and mobile apps.
• Willingness to work overtime and during out-of-hours call-outs.
• Experience working with insurance claims and policyholder properties.

Responsibilities

• Leak detection using acoustic equipment and CCTV surveys.
• Water main repairs and renewals on site.
• Generate on-site reports via iTouch system.
• Drain unblocking with high-pressure jetting equipment.
• Conduct CCTV surveys of drainage systems.
• Trace drainage at policyholder properties and excavate minimally where needed.
• Maintain professional communication with policyholders and the public.
• Explain findings clearly and recommend actions.
• Maintain professional appearance and safety standards.
• Minimise disruption to policyholders during works.

In this role, we are looking for a Drainage Technician to carry out drainage and water main investigations, maintenance, and repairs at policyholder properties. You'll diagnose faults, clear blockages, complete CCTV surveys, trace drainage systems and leaks, and carry out minor excavation work where required. You'll work independently, delivering safe, efficient, and professional service while maintaining high standards of customer care and Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leak Detection using acoustic equipment ideally be familiar with using HL 7000-Light-VS.
• Water main pipe repairs & renewals
• Generate excellent on-site reports, our system will be iTouch.
• Carry out drain unblocking using high-pressure water jetting equipment.
• Conduct CCTV surveys of underground drainage systems.
• Undertake drain track and trace activities at policyholder properties.
• Carry out minor excavation and reinstatement activities where required.
• Communicate professionally with policyholders, and members of the public.
• Explain findings and recommended actions clearly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ensure disruption to the policyholder is minimised during works.

Key Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
