Job summary

Ardour Associates Ltd. is seeking a Performance/Project Manager to oversee leakage detection contracts in the water sector from a UK base.

You will manage client relationships with water company stakeholders, deliver contract performance, and drive improvements while ensuring budgets, timescales, and quality targets are met. Key requirements include experience in leakage detection or water networks, strong data interpretation, and the ability to coordinate field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in project, contract, operational or performance management within leakage detection, water networks or a closely related utilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for water company stakeholders across operations, leakage and contract teams.
• Lead contract review meetings, presenting performance results, project updates, risks and improvement plans.
• Work with the client to agree priorities, understand requirements and align delivery plans with leakage reduction objectives.
• Manage escalations, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and agreed actions are followed through.
• Deliver leakage detection contracts on time and within budget.
• Develop delivery plans and coordinate resources with operational managers and field teams.
• Monitor milestones and identify delays, implementing corrective actions.
• Record and agree changes to contract requirements and their commercial impacts.
• Maintain clear project records, action plans and reporting throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Monitor contractual KPIs and service levels, including team productivity and leakage reduction measures.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, underperformance and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement performance improvement plans with clear actions, owners and deadlines.
• Coordinate with field managers to address barriers to performance and share best practices.
• Ensure field data and reports are accurate, timely and suitable for client review.
• Monitor contract budgets, costs and forecasts to support profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Support invoicing and reporting with commercial and finance teams.
• Identify additional client requirements and assist proposals for extensions or new work.
• Coordinate with operational teams to ensure staffing and equipment alignment.
• Ensure delivery meets health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
