Job summary

Anglian Water’s @one Alliance seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee civil works across water and wastewater projects. You’ll manage direct labour and subcontractors on site, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards while promoting best practice and a proactive safety culture.

You will plan, supervise, and drive progress, reporting daily outcomes, and mentoring site teams to deliver projects on time and to high standards within the construction or water sector.

Qualifications

• CSCS Supervisor card and proven supervisory experience in civil construction works.
• CITB SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid qualifications.
• NRSWA Supervisor and HSG47 training in underground service avoidance.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of site operatives and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with @one requirements, statutory regulations, and approved method statements.
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings to embed a strong safety culture.
• Monitor temporary works, plant checks, permits, and ensure all works are delivered safely and compliantly.
• Lead by example on site, actively promoting near-miss reporting and good housekeeping standards.
• Drive quality by ensuring inspection and test plans are followed and works are “right first time”.
• Track and report daily progress, resolving any issues that could affect delivery or budget.
• Order, coordinate, and manage construction plant and materials efficiently.
• Support and mentor site teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, customers, and the public, maintaining respect and professionalism at all times.
