Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with NEC Contracts and commercial governance.

• Flexibility to travel to sites and hold a driving licence.

Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyors to work for a leading contractor within the Water, Energy and Environmental sectors within the UK, with sites located across the South of the region including; Poole, Dorset and Bournemouth

Our client has been named a capital delivery partner on two multi-million-pound ‘lots’ that will see the company deliver projects across the region through to 2030 – with the potential for a five-year extension into AMP9 thereafter.

You’ll play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and environmental schemes, including flood defence improvements, water and wastewater treatment upgrades, and nature-based solutions designed to enhance biodiversity. Working across the full project lifecycle, you’ll be involved from early contractor involvement, option appraisal and tender negotiations through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover.

You’ll take ownership of the commercial management of your projects, ensuring they remain financially viable, commercially controlled and legally compliant, while being delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Duties:

• Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to assist in commercial decisions.
• Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively challenge team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery.
• Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
• Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
• Influencing and advising on the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
• Creating, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs and ensuring clear communication at all times.
• Providing guidance and support to junior commercial staff
• Aspiration for development into management role in the future

Requirements:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field
• Experience and knowledge of NEC Contracts
• A practical mindset, good math skills, the ability to solve problems and manage project finances.
• Flexibility and adaptiveness to work in client environments to meet the needs of the projects
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
