Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Civil Water Engineer to join our growing Water team, delivering a diverse portfolio for UK water companies, local authorities and environmental organisations.

You will lead the planning, design and delivery of civil water infrastructure across regulated and non-regulated markets, mentoring engineers and shaping technical solutions while contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with ICE or equivalent, or extensive senior-level delivery experience.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with clients and partners.
• Water sector knowledge or strong understanding of UK water operations and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and delivery of civil engineering solutions from feasibility to construction.
• Collaborate across disciplines to develop integrated, sustainable outcomes.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to team growth.
• Support project planning, resource management and commercial performance.
• Contribute to business development, frameworks and continual improvement.
• Champion innovation and adoption of new technologies.
