Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Civil Design Manager to drive the technical delivery of water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, lead design reviews, and act as the technical interface with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering subject (e.g. civil, electrical, mechanical).
• Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant institution (ICE/CIWEM) or working towards it.
• Experience in water/wastewater engineering projects for consultancies, contractors, or water companies.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and delivering complex water schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of water, wastewater and flood infrastructure projects across the design lifecycle.
• Oversee key packages from concept to handover and liaise with clients and suppliers.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to secure stakeholder buy-in and drive innovation.
• Develop team members and mentor juniors, ensuring timely project delivery.
