Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the Otterbourne Water Supply Works Infrastructure Upgrade in Hampshire. This on-site role requires directing delivery teams, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution within budget parameters.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in water/wastewater construction, strong project management skills, and a track record of driving sustainability and compliance with CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a Construction-related discipline is required.
• Strong project and programme management capability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and leadership in large-scale delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site construction teams to deliver works safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Facilitate project kick-off meetings and lead regular project health checks.
• Manage supplier performance across safety, time, quality; review RAMS.
• Lead constructability reviews, project rehearsals, and sign-offs.
• Drive innovation and sustainability to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Promote zero waste and reduce embodied carbon as part of sustainability.
