This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a major water infrastructure programme, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable construction delivery.
Location: Otterbourne, Hampshire (between Southampton & Winchester)
Type: Site-Based Role (Minimum 4 days per week on site)
Salary: Circa £75,000 + Car Allowance
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading construction delivery teams, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability requirements, while delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Lead and manage site construction teams across designated projects to deliver works safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Facilitate project construction kick-off meetings and lead regular project health checks.
Manage supplier performance across:
Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), ensuring robustness and compliance.
Lead:
Drive innovation and best practice to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
Champion sustainability initiatives including:
Ensure contractual and commercial notices are raised promptly and accurately.
Work alongside the Lead Construction Manager to plan:
Foster a positive safety culture where everyone feels empowered to raise concerns.
Implement innovative construction techniques while maintaining industry-leading standards.
Collaborate effectively within Joint Venture (JV) environments.
Degree (or equivalent) in a Construction-related discipline
APMP or equivalent qualification
Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction programmes
Water / Wastewater Treatment industry experience
Strong project and programme management capability
Temporary Works experience and/or relevant qualification
Solid understanding of:
Experience managing and monitoring project programmes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders and end users
Delivery-focused with the ability to set, drive and achieve targets
Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
Commercial awareness and strong strategic, operational and technical leadership skills
