Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Slough is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its water infrastructure team. You will contribute to a broad mix of trunk mains, distribution networks, and civils works across water production facilities, using design software and collaborative delivery approaches.

The role offers hybrid working after onboarding, clear progression through technical and project leadership paths, and a supportive, quality-focused environment that emphasises sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience within civil engineering, ideally UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies and infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant engineering design software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Chartered status, or progression toward Chartership with ICE or a similar institution, would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of water infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, contributing design, coordination and project delivery activities.
• Work on trunk mains, distribution networks and civils works associated with water production facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships, and review technical deliverables.
• Contribute to practical, sustainable engineering solutions across the water sector.
