Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Slough is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its water infrastructure team. You will contribute to a broad mix of trunk mains, distribution networks, and civils works across water production facilities, using design software and collaborative delivery approaches.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience within civil engineering, ideally UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies and infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant engineering design software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Chartered status, or progression toward Chartership with ICE or a similar institution, would be beneficial.

Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

A well-established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join its growing water infrastructure team in Slough.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of technically interesting projects across both infrastructure and non-infrastructure water schemes, with exposure to everything from trunk mains and distribution networks through to production site civils and structural alterations.
The role offers strong long-term progression within a collaborative and technically focused environment, with opportunities available across a range of seniority levels depending on experience.
Following an initial onboarding period in the office, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement.

The Role

You’ll support the delivery of water infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, contributing technical expertise across design, coordination and project delivery activities.
Projects include trunk mains, strategic water connections, distribution networks and civils works associated with water production facilities.
The role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting client relationships, reviewing technical deliverables and contributing to practical, sustainable engineering solutions across the water sector.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Minimum 3 years' experience within civil engineering, ideally within the UK water sector
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies and infrastructure delivery

• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to quality, safety and sustainable engineering practices
