South East Water is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide technical and operational support across the full lifecycle of civil engineering schemes, from concept and feasibility through to commissioning and handover. You will report to the Project Manager and help maintain momentum, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, preparing estimates, tracking progress, and compiling job packs to deadlines

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in civil engineering required.
• Relevant Project Management Qualifications.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership.
• Experience in a water distribution environment or similar.
• Experience with project management software and common data environments.
• Strong engineering judgement and CDM 2015 understanding.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and their application.

Responsabilités

• Prepare estimates and invoices and track progress using specialist software.
• Report project progress to the Project Manager across the lifecycle.
• Support team by researching project information.
• Monitor schedule, budget, and spend; report variances.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align needs and goals.
• Assist with scope reviews to ensure outputs and quality standards.
• Coordinate technical solutions and compile job packs to deadlines.
• Liaise with internal and external parties to obtain approvals.
