Job summary

SMS Environmental in Basingstoke is seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer to perform routine water hygiene duties across local sites. The role includes flushing, sampling and temperature monitoring, with training and support provided to develop your skills in a practical environment.

This full-time position offers training, a supportive team, and opportunities to grow within the water hygiene industry. You’ll work standard hours with paid overtime potential and a company van and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Some experience in water hygiene, plumbing, facilities management or maintenance.
• Attitude and willingness to develop are important.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on water systems.
• Complete flushing and water sampling.
• Take and record water temperatures.
• Carry out routine checks on water systems.
• Identify and report issues or non-compliances.
• Record completed work accurately in company systems.
