Job summary

PTSG Water is seeking a field-based water safety technician to travel to customer sites across the Lincoln region. You will inspect, clean and maintain water systems, lead tank chlorinations, install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and perform routine monitoring in line with HSG 274 Part 2.

Proactive problem-solving and strong knowledge of ACoP L8 are essential. An enhanced DBS check and CTC clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or equivalent industry training is required.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region is essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect and service water systems, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels and lead tank chlorinations.
• Install/servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves; monitor water quality per HSG 274 Part 2.
• Perform routine monitoring: flush outlets, monitor temperatures, descale showers, flush vessels, sample closed systems.
• Use SimPRO to manage workload and identify issues; apply knowledge of HSE ACoP L8 and HSG274 to maintain compliance.
