Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment is seeking a field-based technician for our Liverpool-area operations. The role requires travel to customer sites, inspection and cleaning of water storage vessels, and the installation and service of Thermostatic Mixing Valves to maintain safety standards.

You will perform routine monitoring per HSG 274 Part 2, operate the SimPRO system, and ensure compliance with HSE guidelines. A full UK driving licence and Legionella training are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the region to ensure water systems are safe and compliant.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels and lead tank chlorinations.
• Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
• Conduct routine monitoring in line with HSG 274 Part 2.
• Flushing water outlets and vessels; monitor temperatures and descale showerheads.
• Use SimPRO to manage workload and document activity.
• Maintain knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274 and ensure a compliant operation.
