A leading water hygiene company in Birmingham is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician. You will inspect and clean water systems, ensuring safety and compliance across customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving licence and City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training. Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or suitable industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, perform tank chlorinations.
• Conduct routine monitoring tasks in line with regulations.
• Perform routine monitoring per HSG 274 Part 2.
• Flush outlets, monitor temperatures, descale showerheads, and flush vessels.
• Collect samples for closed water systems.
• Use SimPRO to manage workload.
• Apply knowledge of HSE ACoP L8 and HSG274 to maintain compliance.

What you'll be doing

As a key part of our team, you'll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you'll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems. You’ll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation.
