Job summary

PTSG Water is seeking a field-based water hygiene technician to travel to customer sites across the region, ensuring safe and compliant water systems. You will inspect storage vessels, perform tank chlorinations, and service mixing valves while monitoring temperatures and sampling for closed systems.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or equivalent. A company car with fuel card and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

• Knowledge of HSG 274 Part 2 and ACoP L8 is essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, lead tank chlorinations.

• Flushing outlets, monitoring temperatures and sampling for closed systems.
• Utilise SimPRO to manage workloads and report on site visits.

Job description

As a key part of our team, you'll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you'll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems.

You’ll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE's ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation.

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence and have City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience to succeed in this role.
