Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician for the High Wycombe area. You will perform cold water storage inspections, cleaning and disinfections, thermostatic mixing valve checks, and monitor water temperatures to support safe, compliant water systems.

The role requires regular travel and driving; after appointment, you may need MOD Security Clearance. Join a team dedicated to protecting people and safeguarding the environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Note: may require MOD Security Clearance after appointment

Job Description

Water Hygiene Technician‑ High Wycombe

This role offers an opportunity to excel as a Water Hygiene Technician while playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.

As a member of the Environment & Safety division, you will work efficiently as part of a team and independently. The nature of the job requires regular travel.

Tasks

• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing
• Water temperature monitoring

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in some or all of the tasks listed above, or a willingness to be trained
• A “can do” attitude
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel

Note: Once in position, it will be a requirement of the role to obtain MOD Security Clearance.
