SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd is seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to enhance its Environment & Safety division. The successful candidate will play a key role in the management of water hygiene, ensuring compliance through effective inspections and monitoring.

This role involves traveling for tasks such as cold water storage tank inspections, cleaning, and maintaining water quality standards. A full UK driving licence is essential, and applicants should possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience in cold water storage tank inspections, cleaning, and disinfecting.
• Willingness to learn new tasks related to water hygiene.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cold water storage tank inspections and recommend works.
• Clean and disinfect cold water storage tanks.
• Perform thermostatic mixing valve checks and servicing.
• Monitor water temperatures.

Job Description

This could be your opportunity to excel as a Water Hygiene Technician as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed.

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Environment & Safety division.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable and committed to join our team. As a member of the Environment & Safety division it is key that you can work efficiently as part of a team as well as having the capabilities to work independently. Due to the nature of the job, travelling will be part of your day‑to‑day role.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing
• Water temperature monitoring

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in some, or all, of the tasks listed above, or a willingness to be trained
• A “can do” attitude
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel

Note: Once in position, it will be a requirement of the role to obtain MOD Security Clearance.
