A leading technical services company is seeking a Water Hygiene Technician for site visits in the Chorley area. The role involves ensuring water systems are compliant and safe, inspecting storage vessels, and maintaining records using SimPRO. Applicants need a clean UK driving licence and Legionella Awareness training. This position offers a competitive salary and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
• Experience or equivalent training in Legionella Awareness.
• Proficient in water hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels.
• Perform routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2.
• Perform routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2, including flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and sampling for closed water systems.
• Use the SimPRO system to manage workload and records.
• Identify problems and proactively implement solutions, with a solid knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274.

Overview

Water Hygiene Technician role at Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG). This role involves visiting customer sites in the Chorley area to ensure water systems are safe and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites in the Chorley area to ensure water systems are safe and compliant.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, including leading on tank chlorinations.
• Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
• Perform routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2, including flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and sampling for closed water systems.
• Use the SimPRO system to manage workload and records.
• Identify problems and proactively implement solutions, with a solid knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, or equivalent / suitable industry experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• Knowledge of HSE ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Experience with SimPRO (preferred).
