Job summary

SER Limited in Croydon is recruiting an experienced Water Hygiene Technical Estimator to price and scope remedial works within the water hygiene and legionella sector. You will review risk assessments and reports to produce competitive, technically accurate quotations.

You will work closely with clients, engineers and the commercial team to understand project requirements, estimate labour, materials and costs, and support tender submissions and orders.

Qualifications

• Experience producing accurate quotations and estimates for technical works.
• Strong water hygiene and legionella sector knowledge.
• Ability to liaise with clients, engineers and the commercial team.
• Understanding labour and material requirements for pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review legionella risk assessments and water hygiene reports.
• Identify remedial and compliance requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for water hygiene works.
• Estimate labour, materials, equipment and costs.
• Price remedial works, tank cleans, disinfection and projects.
• Review engineers' reports and identify additional works.
• Liaise with engineers and operations teams to understand technical needs.
• Talk with clients to clarify project scope.
• Prepare professional quotations and tender submissions.
• Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
• Support pricing and cost analysis for the commercial team.
• Ensure estimates are commercially viable while remaining competitive.
• Maintain records of quotations and opportunities.
• Assist with tender responses and larger project proposals.

Water Hygiene Technical Estimator

Location: Croydon, London

Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE plus pension and 22 days holiday excluding statutory days

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Water Hygiene Technical Estimator to join an established and growing business within the water hygiene and legionella sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong water hygiene and legionella knowledge who also has experience producing accurate quotations and estimates for technical works.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, engineers and the wider commercial team to understand project requirements, assess remedial works and produce competitive, technically accurate quotations.

The Role

• Reviewing legionella risk assessments, water hygiene reports and survey information
• Identifying remedial and compliance requirements
• Preparing detailed and accurate quotations for water hygiene works
• Estimating labour, materials, equipment and associated costs
• Pricing remedial works, tank cleans, disinfection and water hygiene projects
• Reviewing engineers' reports and identifying additional works required
• Liaising with engineers and operational teams to understand technical requirements
• Speaking with clients to clarify project scope and requirements
• Preparing professional quotations and tender submissions
• Following up quotations and assisting with converting opportunities into orders
• Supporting the commercial team with pricing and cost analysis
• Ensuring estimates are commercially viable while remaining competitive
• Maintaining accurate records of quotations and opportunities
• Assisting with tender responses and larger project proposals where required

You may currently be working as a:

• Water Hygiene Engineer/Senior Water Hygiene Engineer
• Water Hygiene Supervisor/Water Hygiene Project Manager
• Legionella Risk Assessor
• Technical Coordinator/ Water Hygiene Estimator

You will ideally have experience with:

• Legionella control and water hygiene
• Water hygiene remedials
• Cold water storage tanks and tank cleans
• TMVs
• Water system disinfection
• Plumbing and remedial works
• Reviewing technical reports
• Understanding labour and material requirements
